nigerian wedding photographer Obi Nwokedi

So for the first time, I decided to enter a couple of my images into one of the categories of the WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association)’s quarterly contest, and I’m so happy that one of our images was among the selected 20 in its category. For me, this is actually a big deal considering the fact that the WPJA has hundreds of some of the best wedding photographers in the world, all vying to have their images placed in any of the categories. We’ll definitely be entering a couple more this year, and hopefully we’ll have many more placements.

.. and yeah, thanks to Simi and Gbolahan for for helping me create the beautiful wining image ..

Hello Obi. I just stumbled on ur site and was amazed at the creative and beautiful photographs u have on display. Am a wedding photographer base in Nigeria. I will like to have some form of business and networking relationship with u. Will love to hear from u. Tnx

I thought of an excuse for blogging several pre wedding shoots in one post, but could’t quite find a respectable lie, so yeah I’m simply blog lazy .. case closed I guess. Having said that I did realise I hadn’t been blogging my pre wedding shoots lately, and just thought to let a couple out before I archive them forever. Most of these were all done in parks in and around London. I’d love to do more pre wedding shoots on the streets, however I tend to photograph pre wedding shoots without an assistant, which makes parks the easier way out. Anyway I’ll be looking to make changes next year. Meantime, thanks to Ugo, Chris, Dami, Gbenga, Simi, Gbolahan, Oyinka, Tobo, Chris, Kola, Catharina, Demola, Kelechi and Vivien for letting me into these intimate moments of their lives.
