This was one of the last weddings I shot last year, which for some reason I didn’t blog till now. Eugenie first contacted me early last year about shooting her and Colins ceremony. I then didin’t hear from her for a long time, but later in the year she got in touch again, and told me they were now actully sort of doing two seperate weddings. One in the Caribbean and one here in London, and she’d love me to cover the London one. This was the seond time I’d be shooting a “Caribbean wedding”.

Wedding date was early in December and sunset was about 4pm so we had to do the couple portraits before the wedding itself. A couple of my favourite images from the wedding …

    Do you need a photographer?

Just over a month ago Shutterfly, released findings of a recent survery, which had it that a sizable percentage of brides regreted not spending more money on their wedding photography. I read it a while ago, but just thought to share. According to the survey:

Should’ve spent less on the dress; more on the memories. Of survey respondents married within 12 months prior to the survey, 28 percent felt they didn’t spend enough money on the honeymoon; 22 percent felt the same about the photographer. 19 percent of the same sample reported spending too much on the bridal gown and food.

Its pretty funny that quite a number of people tend to forget that after all the merry making and drinking … years down the line, all they’ve got left from the wedding day, are the husband …. and the photos.

Meantime, for the rings shot at a recent wedding, we couldn’t find an appropriate Bible; so we decided to go digital with an iPhone.
